There were lots of parts of this class that challenged the way I had originally thought about things. I learned about instruments that I didn't even know existed before. I learned about people from places that I had never studied in this way. And most importantly, I listened to music from genres that I never imagined enjoying. It was important to keep an open mindset, and I think we all did a pretty good job of that. As we now continue our lives, I hope that we can keep what we have learned. Maybe listen to that country song even though you can't stand the thought of country music. There's no loss in expanding what you already know and building on top of it. We should continue to do this everyday of our lives.
