Our intensive was very different this year than it has been in the past. We were online for most of it because of Corona. But the whole group adapted and ended up having a great experience. We were able to share our thoughts comfortably over zoom, and eventually in person. We had a lot of time to listen to music and watch performances. We studied in depth, in groups and individually, the cultures of places around the world. Kinan Azmeh, a master of the Clarinet, even gave us the honor of interviewing him over zoom. Over this time, I feel that the whole class has become better and more accepting people. Our work was all designed to honor the differences between groups of people and appreciate them.
